Hello #name# #sname#

Bonjour et Bienvenue !

New bilingual coursebook for absolute beginners

Bonjour et Bienvenue ! is a CEFR level A1.1 coursebook offering a gentle introduction to the French language for English-speakers.

This is a tailor-made course for absolute beginners with explanations in English. It has been created to take into account typical difficulties experienced by English-speakers learning French.

The course offers 40 hours of learning divided into 8 short lessons, with gradual progression.

The course covers all the essential topics so that learners will be able to "survive" in French.

Bonjour et Bienvenue ! takes an intercultural approach so that students will also become familiar with French habits and behaviour.

There is a strong focus on phonetics, with access to online video support to help students learn correct pronunciation.

Grammar is in the form of a contrastive grammar between French and English. An illustrated bilingual glossary is provided.

An audio CD MP3 is included with the book and contains all the listening texts.

Additional interactive exercises are available online.

The teachers' guide is available to download from the publisher's website and contains lesson plans, translations of the pages from the book into English and assessment materials.

A monolingual edition is also available.

After completing this course, learners will be able to progress to other courses such as studying from Édito A1 or L'atelier A1.
