ELI Russian Graded Readers

These beautifully illustrated readers include a mixture of classic fiction, adapted for language learners, and original non-fiction titles. The books are graded according to Russian language proficiency levels and the Common European Framework: Elementary level (CEFR A1) and Basic level (CEFR A2). Each book is accompanied by an audio narration of the text, either whole or partial, which can be downloaded for free in MP3 format. The books are divided into chapters with a glossary of more difficult vocabulary at the foot of each page. A variety of activities before and after each chapter aid comprehension and enrich the language learning process. Fiction titles offer a selection of useful 'Focus on' pages providing additional information about the author and cultural context of the text, while non-fiction titles include stunning photos and interesting facts to stimulate students' intellectual curiosity towards a new culture and raise their cultural awareness.
