'Ia Pishu po-Russki' ('I Write in Russian') is a two part course for foreign students who just begin their discovery of the Russian language (A1 or Elementary level) or already have some basic knowledge of it (A2 or Basic level).

Students learn how to write the letters of the Russian Cyrillic alphabet whilst learning useful vocabulary. This vocabulary is repeated and revised through various activities, including comprehension questions, gap-fill exercises, crosswords and longer written tasks. Grammar is also presented and practised throughout the course in a clear and concise way. The layout of the books allows them to be used as exercise books as spaces are provided for writing answers.

In terms of topics, the books follow a similar structure to the Elementary and Basic levels textbooks in the 'Doroga v Rossiyu' ('The Way to Russia') series by Antonova V.E., Nakhabina M.M., Tolstykh A.A., and were originally designed to be used alongside this course, which can be found by searching codes 45121 or 45122 in the search box.

However, these textbooks are also suitable for use alongside any beginners' or near beginners' Russian courses as they are perfect for reinforcing the basics before study at higher levels. Answers and reference tables are provided at the back of the books and therefore they can be used both in the classroom with a teacher and as independent study material.
