The course is designed for foreign students of economic faculties at an advanced stage of their study: for senior course students, masters and postgraduates, who consider their Russian to be at level B2 of the CEFR. The main aim of the course is to prepare students for their future profession in Russian. The textbook is based on the latest achievements of communicative techniques of teaching Russian as a foreign language: it develops and practices all the language skills, required for effective communication in the fields of economics and business in real life.

Special attention is paid to the spoken forms of professional communication with regard to performing certain socio-communicative roles (a manager, a financier, a marketologist). The development of creative skills in the professional environment is given proper consideration as well (collegial discussion of problems, decision-making and reasoning, project management). The students work with the authentic materials from the modern Russian periodicals of economic profile, learning various genres of texts, that are relevant to this type of professional communication, as well as enriching their vocabulary with the useful expressions. The textbook comes along with a CD.
