The Recipes for the World Creation.

The novel by Andrey Filimonov is "a fairy tale based on a real experience", a quest in a labyrinth of a family history, winding from Paris to Siberia through the whole 20th century. The members of the family are common people: betrayers and heroes, emigrants and communists, victims of repressions and knight commanders. Uncle Vasya died in the Bolshoi Theatre, a cadet Volodya lost the battle in Perekop, a young pilot Mitya in wartime had a love affair with an American from the Apache tribe, whose name was A-36... And none of them told their life story. In best case they left a few letters in the family archive... And the main character in the novel sets off for the other riverside of Lethe to talk to the shadows of the forgotten ancestors in person.

The book has been included in the short nominee list of the Big Book prize 2018 and also in the long nominee list of the Russian National Bestseller prize 2018.
